INCLUSIVE AND INNOVATIVE SCHOOL

OUR Erasmus+ project
The way we teach should provide meaningful and effective learning opportunities for students. As teachers, we need to create a bridge between established teaching approaches and innovative methods that are more suitable for the times we live in. That is why we decided to participate in an Erasmus+ KA1 project.
Three teachers from our school attended the training course named "Flipped Classroom" with the intention of fully understanding the concept of a flipped classroom and integrating it into our own classrooms. We were assisted in developing digital skills for the implementation of this innovative teaching methodology. We acquired enough self-confidence to produce our own learning materials necessary to run a flipped classroom for our lessons and put it into practice.
In addition, three teachers from our school attended the training course named "Facing Diversity: Inclusive Education Strategies for Students with Fewer Opportunities." Our aim was to learn how to involve diverse students in our lessons, each with their own story, personality, past experience, and challenges. In order to facilitate all our students to benefit from our teaching, we need to treat these students differently. The purpose of this training course was to provide us with the appropriate knowledge and skills regarding how students who have fewer opportunities can have equal access to formal and non-formal education.
Both of these training courses were provided by experienced training providers, "New Horizons" and they were delivered in Madrid, Spain.

Expected Outcomes
The impact of our teachers' participation in the two training courses is expected to be positive and multidimensional:
- Students at our school will be more motivated to learn. They will understand the vulnerable situations of their classmates and treat them with sensitivity and respect. They will also develop a more meaningful bond with their peers from other countries. The use of the flipped classroom methodology will stimulate their interest and involvement in learning, leading to improved school performance and a reduced likelihood of dropping out early.
- Our school teachers will benefit from enriching their teaching material with new methodologies and techniques. They will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively include students with fewer opportunities in their lessons.
